IRVINE, CA., March 21, 2002- Raining Data Corporation (Nasdaq: RDTA(E)) today announced financial results for the third quarter of the company's current fiscal year. Revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 2001 totaled $5.1 million compared to restated revenue of $4.6 million for the immediately preceding quarter and $2.3 million for the restated third quarter of last fiscal year. Revenue
for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2001 totaled $14.9
million compared to $4.4 million for the same period in the
prior fiscal year. This increase reflects three full quarters
of combined operations following the acquisition of PickAX,
Inc., the holding company for Pick Systems, in December 2000.
"We are pleased with the results of the cost reduction efforts taken during the last fiscal quarter. The financial fundamentals of the company continue to strengthen. Cash increased to $3.9 million from $3.4 million last quarter," explained Carlton H. Baab, President & CEO of Raining Data Corporation. On March 21, 2002, Raining Data Corporation filed with the SEC, an amended Form 10-KSB/A for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2001, amended Forms 10-QSB/A for the quarters ended June 30, 2001 and September 30, 2001, and the Form 10-QSB for the quarter ended December 31, 2001.
