Patches
Note:
Before
installing or upgrading mvBase, we highly recommend that you read
and understand
Tech Tip 138. This tip will help to ensure that your mvBase
installation or upgrade will be easy and successful.
Beginning
with mvBASE Release 1.3.02, patches have been released in cumulative
Patch Sets, as opposed to individual Patch Kits. Patch
Sets contain all prior Patch Sets, and a new Patch Set may contain
more than one additional fix. Patch Sets are designed to be completely
installed. Attempting to install just part of a Patch Set can
lead to undesirable results. Do not install an earlier (i.e. lower
level) Patch Set on a system which has a later (i.e. higher level)
Patch Set already installed on it. Higher level Patch Sets can
be installed on systems with (1) No Patch Set installed, or (2)
any prior Patch Set installed.
NOTE:
As with Patch Kits, Patch Sets can only be loaded on the release
for which they are intended. Under no circumstances should a Patch
Set for mvBASE 1.3.02 be applied to a system running mvBASE 1.3.01
(also identified as Build 79), mvBASE 1.3.00 (also identified
as Build 77) or any other non-1.3.02 system! Very
Important: Read the Patch Set Notes before installing any
Patch Set.
